From Click & Buy to heroism

Fabian Siegel, former CTO and co-founder of ClickandBuy and COO of the browser add-on-service kikin, returned to Berlin in 2011 after several years in New York. Together with Markus Fuhrmann, Venture Partner at Team Europe, and his co-founders Claude Ritter, Nikita Fahrenholz, Fabian launched Lieferheld which is already making a mark in the fast-growing world of online food ordering.

The future looks bright for the sector. “I expect the majority of all delivered orders to be generated online,” says Fabian. “The opportunity to help shape this market from its infancy is extremely exciting.“

Launched in November 2010, Lieferheld is already present in every large German city. In March 2011, Tengelmann and Holtzbrinck confirmed the concept with an injection of venture funding. Recently Lieferheld made the news with its UMTS- Express-Ordering Box, which enables restaurants to accept online orders directly. The team is at the moment about 80 employees strong and is always looking for further backing.
