Success in Germany – The optimal foundation to go global

Fabian Siegel, former CTO and co-founder of ClickandBuy and COO of the browser add-on-service kikin, returned to Berlin in 2010 after several years in New York. Together with Markus Fuhrmann, Venture Partner at Team Europe, and his co-founders Claude Ritter, Nikita Fahrenholz, Fabian launched Lieferheld.de, which is already making a mark in the fast-growing world of online food ordering. Convenience and choice are the central benefits for their customers who have access to Lieferheld’s service in every large German city.

Experiencing the enormous growth in Germany, Team Europe decided to launch the business model internationally. They teamed up with Co-CEO Niklas Oestberg who was the perfect fit as he had already successfully set up online food ordering platforms in Finland, Austria, Poland and Sweden. With the expansion to Mexico, Australia, Switzerland, UK and Russia, Delivery Hero again managed another kick-start in new markets.

The company remains hungry and is continually transforming the online food ordering market. On their way to market leadership they are backed by Ru-Net, Kite Ventures, e-Tengelmann, Holtzbrinck Ventures, HPV, Point Nine Capital and Team Europe with a combined investment that exceeds 20 mio. €.
